Hip Roof Trusses

Hip roofs have four sides that all slope downwards towards the walls. Hip roofs can often be specified by planning if properties are close to their neighbours and there is a requirement to minimise light obstruction to nearby properties. Hip roof construction is also beneficial in that all walls can be built up to the same wallplate height as opposed to Gable walls which must rise at each end to support the shape of the roof structure.

It is still possible to create some useable space with hip roof construction such as the design we have shown in the image below. For this design solution, we added floor joists in to the middle of the roof in order to allow the customer to use this space as a dressing room.
