This week we were extremely proud to see our space joists feature on this week’s episode of Grand Designs. We were involved in supplying the joists for the extraordinary project in Malvern. The unusual development saw the owners create a building inspired by the open plan living and views they had experienced whilst living in New Zealand. Positioning the structure on the side of a steep hill certainly presented them with challenges but we think the struggle was worth it as the end result is absolutely breath taking. Our space joists not only provided the stability and structure for the flooring, their unique metal web design enabled the owners to install a full MVHR system within the floor space ensuring a highly ecological solution for heating the home.
