With the engineered floor, you have a product which is designed to British Standards which isn't going to shrink like traditional joists, comes supplied to site already cut to length and it is easier to install due to the weight of the unit, plus with the product, we can span over larger distances which may reduce the number of internal load bearing walls inside of the dwelling and the need for stopping joists and then running them in different directions.

With more and more requirement for services for plumbing and home entertainment systems, from 2010 Minera Roof Trusses launched their open metal web engineered floor joist. The Ecojoist (Easi-joist / Posi-joist) is a fully engineered product which has high stress graded timber top and bottom chords with metal webs connected them together. This creates plenty of wide open space for the ease of use installation of wires, cables and pipes.
