The Open Metal Web Floor Joist ( Ecojoist / Posi-Joist / Easi-Joist ) is a revolutionary new product. It is a fully engineered floor joist which was designed with two major factors in mind.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

With traditional floor joists, sizes of 225 x 50 or 225 x 75mm are used. With an Engineered Floor Joist - Open Metal Web Floor Joists ( Ecojoist / Posi-Joist / Easi-Joist ), the only timber that is used is 97 x 47mm. The floor depth can still be 219mm deep, but the key difference is that the middle of the web is not timber, but a V shape Metal Web.

How can an engineered floor joist work at 219mm deep but is only using 97 x 47mm timber?

Well, the special V plate is made of high quality galvanised steel. Each joist is specially designed and engineered by our resident engineers to the correct loading for your project, for example, residential loading to office loading to flats loadings. And you are not restricted to one type of decking. Floor material can range from Chipboard to plywood or concrete screed.
